How come the list stops at the T's?

Posted by Drop_Six - Monday, July 14, 2008 8:29 PM
Over 85 tracks huh? How come I only count 84? I think you're slacking of Mr. Johnson.

YES!!!
My wish came true, as Tenacious D has officially made the list. I can only hope they will find a way to put more of the D out in the future (yes, I know it's a problem getting around all the language, but dammit, the D is the greatest in the world!)
Oh, and I'm glad that when they decided to put the Offspring in, they put the good Offspring, not this post-Ixnay on the Hombre selloutish Offspring.
Oh, and more Soundgarden! Spoonman is a perfect choice.
Can't pass up Rage Against the Machine however, and definitely can't pass up Pearl Jam's "Alive". Man, this is like a greatest hits of my younger years.
Oh, and honorable mention for Presidents of the United States of America.
AH! I feel like I'm at an AM/PM, because there's seriously too much good stuff. More Bon Jovi! Duran Duran! Jimmy Eat World!

Now only if someone could get the gents of Led Zep drunk enough to sign the rights to let us play their music on Rock Band, I'll be the happiest manboy in this room.

ah man. Eye of the tiger! Now I can pretend to be playing the music to the most inspirational scene in any movie ever. I can't wait!

I have been waiting for Modest Mouse to be introduced to Rock Band for sooooo long...now all we need is songs from their album "The Lonesome Crowded West"

omg. I am a loyal guitar hero player, but this is making me truly rethink my decision. Damn. I love them all!!!! Alanis morissette seems out of place though.

holy crap this is the single greates setlist ever, good luck to GH topping that.

there are just sooo many good tracks, and beck?!?!?! holy jesus i love beck

and finally some system, and not to mention one of the greatest head banging songs ever, give it all by rise against

im almost as happy as the diablo 3 announcement right now, screw GH go RB

But this list could really use some CAKE, cmon harmonix get on that

Posted by bostononemanarmy - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 5:33 AM
If you love fast songs, you'll love judas priest, megadeth, metallica, etc. But if you have them, where's slayer? The real question is, where's Iron Maiden? WTF

While the AC/DC track may not be the best choice, it's still a good track. Preferably Back in Black would work better.

GH has their work cut out, big time.

Posted by dirtylaundry022 - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 6:53 AM
These songs ARE good, but the fact that Harmonix failed to deliver to me a game thats actually challenging with Rock Band still wont make me buy this one. I'll stick with GH:WT because I know that THAT company can make a good music game, and make me feel somewhat challenged.

Girl's NOT grey...

unless they did one called 'Girl's Gone Grey' exclusively for ROCK BAND 2.

ha!

Posted by tjcfunk - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 7:01 AM
reality is... anyone who likes ANY of these songs should be happy because the dev. team got those particular groups on board. Now that they are just like in the first RB more tracks WILL follow so for example the AC/DC track is a teaser more than likely. Not to mention that all that cash you and i invested on music for the first WILL work with RB2. simply awsome

Posted by MASTER_R0ACH - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 7:10 AM
true this is simply amazing.

I downloaded many songs for RB and the fact that for me RB2 will have so many songs will amaze and the ool drumset and guitar will be great.

Harmonix has always been the better company and they will continue that way.

metallica, judas priest, ac/dc, megadeath, tenacious D, rush, system of a down what a list and not to mention the DLC they are going to have hell yes

Posted by Slaytanic40oz - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 7:36 AM
Pretty decent list. Missing some things (like bostononemanarmy said). Alanis Morisette and Mighty Mighty Bosstones seem kinda out of place though. Wonder what kinda DLC they got lined up

Posted by derrygirl327 - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 7:51 AM
YOWZA! AFI (ahem, Girl's NOT Grey) and Duran Duran!? I'm not sure I can contain my excitement!

Posted by jordanXcore - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 7:54 AM
